PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail device B for a high lift working vehicle A which has a falling object protecting shelf 21 to be developed outward in use and to be stored along the outside of a handrail 20 in no use, the handrail 20 having a base end 20b mounted on a bracket 12e provided on a floor surface 12d of a work bench 12 adjacent to the outer edge 12b of the work bench 12 in a planar view, wherein the falling object protecting shelf 21 in stored attitude in a planar view is not over an outer edge 12b of the work bench 12. SOLUTION: The handrail device B comprises a displacement part 20e displaced inward almost right over the floor surface 12d of the work bench 12. The falling object protecting shelf 21 has a lower side member 21a and an upper side member 21e. The upper side member 21e is connected to the lower side member 21a connected to the displacement part 20e via a hinge mechanism 21d provided on the displacement part 20e right over the bracket 12e.
