The counter has a cover wall (20), a front side wall (50) and a lateral side wall (70), where one of the walls exhibits an inner plate and an outer plate. The outer plate is arranged parallel at a distance to the inner plate, where the outer plate is sectionally connected with the inner plate. A hollow space is formed between the inner plate and the outer plate. The hollow space extends in a region of a vertically running edge of the side wall. The inner plate and the outer plate are welded with each other. A base wall (30) is completely made of plastic.
