921,863. Electroluminescence. PATENTTREUHAND-GESELLSCHAFT FUR ELEKTRISCHE GLUHLAMPEN April 14, 1961 [April 22, 1960], No. 13537/61. Class 39 (1). A method of improving the luminosity of electroluminescent cells, consisting in heating the cell to a temperature of 250-350‹ C., especially 300‹ C., for a total period of time up to 10 minutes whereby the working field is applied to the cells or electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of below 470 mÁ affects said cells. In either case the heating may take place for several times up to a total time of 10 minutes, and in a specific example a zinc sulphide phosphor having conventional activators and coactivators is mentioned, sandwiched between thin transparent conductive layers of tin oxide and the whole embedded in lead-free transparent enamel. |
