PURPOSE: A washing machine and a brightness adjusting method of a display unit are provided to improve convenience by memorizing brightness data in inputting a brightness adjusting key and by controlling the brightness of the display unit according to memorized data after turning on and off the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises a motor(13); a display unit(15); a key input unit(10) inputting the command about washing by a user and a brightness adjusting key; a memory(11) storing brightness data and brightness modification data in first and second addresses according to input of the brightness adjusting key; and a control unit(12) controlling the brightness of the display unit corresponding to brightness data and brightness modification data from the memory. Convenience is improved by controlling the brightness of the display unit with the user. |
