#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves reducing a value of peak current (Ilim) circulating in each of phases of a variable reluctance machine (1), for a set point torque and a given speed of the machine. A minimal value of the current is deduced from a linear relationship existing between the minimal value and the set point torque, for determining the minimal value in given operating conditions. Value of magnetization end angle of each phase is constantly maintained. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a variable reluctance machine that operates at low speed. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for controlling a variable reluctance machine operating at low speed. Uses include but are not limited to hybrid engine, electric vehicle, fuel cell, alternator-starter or in-wheel motor. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The value of the peak current that circulates in each phase of the variable reluctance machine is reduced for the set point torque and the given speed of the machine, thus reducing torque ripple of the machine in order to avoid the generation of noise and vibrations. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic view illustrating a variable reluctance machine controlling device.'(Drawing includes non-English language text)' Ilim : Peak current 1 : Variable reluctance machine 4, 6 : Memory units 5 : Position/speed sensor 7, 8 : Control units. |
