PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents delivery method, contents receiving, recording, reproducing methods and apparatuses for realizing special reproducing functions as like package media, such as DVD-VIDEO and the like, when recording and reproducing into a recording medium with receiving contents deliveries of movies and the like. SOLUTION: A TS(transport stream)-separating circuit 12 separates TS data, including the contents of recording subjects from received signals, a payload extracting part 16 extracts only a payload part of the TS data to record into a HDD 18 as PS(program stream) data. A reading control part 15 reads out the PS data from the recording medium to output the TS data acquired with eliminating pack headers in the PS data to the separating circuit 12. The separating circuit 12 separates video/sound data from the TS data, and this video/voice data are decoded a video/sound decoding circuit 13 and is output.
