The hydraulic cylinder (10) has a piston (18) with an inner part (24) that can be snap-fitted into an outer part (20) in a positive locking manner by at least one elastic latching region (26,28,30,32) on the periphery of the inner part latching into an associated reverse cut region (34,36,38,40) formed on the inner periphery of the outer part by injection molding. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a piston for a hydraulic cylinder.
