<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a heat welding portion of the bath and the lid of a lead storage cell. <P>SOLUTION: In a lead storage cell the lid of which is heat-welded and joined to the aperture of the bath which stores a group of electrodes, an end prepared in one perimeter of the bath and the lid is fitted to a groove portion prepared in a perimeter of the other side, and a heating element is arranged between the groove portion and an end. This heating element is arranged so as not to expose to the cell external surface in the status that the bath and the lid are welded. In addition, the heating element is made to generate heat by high-frequency induction heating, melting of the end and the groove portion is carried out with Joule heat by an eddy current produced in the heating element, and thereby heat welding of the bath and the lid is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
