<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when air enters into a CO remover in a hydrogen generating apparatus during long-term stopping and a catalyst is oxidized, the oxidized catalyst reaches a high temperature in the next start and causes sintering. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen generating apparatus is provided comprising: a reformer 1 for generating a hydrogen-containing gas by a reforming reaction of raw material; a CO remover 3 for reducing the CO content of the hydrogen-containing gas sent from the reformer 1 by an oxidation reaction; an air feeder 3 which feeds an oxidizing gas to the CO remover 3; a third temperature sensor 9 which senses the temperature of the CO remover 3; and a control unit 15, wherein the control unit 15 makes beginning of feed of air from the air feeder 3 in start later than that in usual start when the temperature sensed by the third temperature sensor 9 is higher than the temperature in usual start. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
