PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a certification inspection apparatus detecting an error part without being affected by waviness of a substrate of a magnetic recording medium and unevenness of film thickness distribution of a magnetic film in certification inspection of the magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: In the certification inspection apparatus inspecting a reproduction signal of the magnetic recording medium, a magnetic head 53 reproduces a signal recorded in the magnetic recording medium. An AGC (auto gain control) part 34 amplifies a reproduced signal at a gain ratio controlled according to the time elapsed after the signal related to the error part of the magnetic recording medium among reproduced signals is inputted.
