PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a simple system for measuring a power generation current density distribution in a cell surface of a fuel battery to prevent a deterioration in the reliability of the fuel battery system due to such an abnormality as excessive local current density and achieve cost reduction and improvement in reliability.
SOLUTION: Cooling medium channels 3 are formed in a surface parallel with a fuel battery cell C that generates power as a result of a chemical reaction between a fuel gas and an oxidizing agent gas. A plurality of cooling medium temperature detecting means 11, cell voltage detecting means 21, and cooling medium flow rate detecting means 31 are formed along a flow of a cooling medium circulating through the corresponding cooling medium channel 3 on any given part in the cell surface. The presence/absence of an abnormality on a specific part in the cell surface is determined from a power generation current density distribution that is calculated based on a temperature gradient, a cell voltage, and a cooling medium flow rate in the direction of flow of the cooling medium.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
