<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting the residual quantity of fuel, capable of highly accurately computing the residual quantity of fuel by highly accurately detecting the output current of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: An ON time measuring device 7 to measure the ON time of the switching element of a voltage conversion device 4 in a fuel cell device, and a storage device 9 storing a quantity of electricity which fuel has and has been found in advance as an initial value find the output current of the fuel cell 2 based on the output voltage of the fuel cell 2, the output voltage of the voltage conversion device 4, and the ON time of the switching element measured by the ON time measuring device 7, and the residual quantity of fuel is detected based on the quantity of electricity which the storage device 9 stores based on the output current and the quantity of electricity which has been consumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
