There is provided a video image transfer system for mobile terminals comprising: a portal site equipped with a server having an encoder which compresses a received video data through a low-load encoding technique and a storage which stores the compressed video data; and a receiving mobile terminal which is capable of accessing said portal site and then downloading said compressed video data, said receiving terminal including a decoder capable of decoding the compressed video data thus downloaded.
