<p>The present invention relates to a process for producing a product based on faecals produced by animals, characterized in that faecals from mammals a re wholly or partially dissolved using an oxidizing acid, solid acid-insolub le components are separated, if necessary, and the liquid component is neutr alized with a base. Moreover, the invention relates to a plant for producing a product, the plant comprising (i) a faecal reactor (3) for receiving anim al faecals, wherein the reactor is provided with means for supplying an oxid izing acid, (ii) possibly a separator unit for separating solid, acid-insolu ble components, and (iii) a neutralizing reactor (5) for neutralizing the pa rt of the faecals dissolved by means of the oxidizing acid, wherein the neut ralizing reactor (5) is provided with means for supplying a base. The invent ion provides a substantially odourless product for use as fertilizer for a c rop.</p> |
