PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label which effectively prevents forgery and is used for determining whether an article is authentic or counterfeit. SOLUTION: The label has a base material and an authenticity determining part provided at least at a part of the one side of the base material. The authenticity determining part has a reflection layer, a hologram-forming layer and a light-selective reflection layer having light-selective reflectivity, which reflects either left handed circularly polarized light or right handed circularly polarized light in incident light, in this order from the base material side.
