The system is for guiding a user through a network of payment terminals, especially parking meters (X,Y), whereby each terminal has means for supplying the user with information relating to its position. The system can be optimized by ensuring a customer does not receive location details and shortest route TY(X) details to a meter from which a ticket was issued until after payment of a parking fee.
