<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connection member protecting a connecting part as well as facilitating connecting operation of optical fibers, and to provide an optical closure and a connecting method of optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: As for the optical fiber connection member 1, a first connector 2 is fitted at the tip end of a first optical cord 3, and a first housing 6 is movably attached to the rear part. Also, a second connector 4 is fitted at the tip end of a second optical cord 5, and a second housing 8 is movably attached to the rear part. After the first and second connectors 2, 4 are connected, one end of the second housing 8 is engaged with the recessed part 14 of the first housing 6. Then, the recessed part 14 of the first housing 6 cooperates with the recessed part 32 of the second housing 8 and, to form a space, so that the first and second connectors 2, 4 are housed while being connected, and positioned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
