<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method having original image data displaying a predetermined region on a screen and for displaying an image smoothly continued to the extended section of the image by predicting a region outside the range of the image with respect to a region (image extended section) outside the predetermined range. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing method has original image data 2a stored in a memory part 2, detects the edge of a picture forming the original image data by an edge detection circuit 3a, extends the edge of the picture to a region outside a predetermined range by an edge extension circuit 3b, calculates a face surrounded by the extended edge of the picture as a region outside the predetermined range by a pixel complementary area calculation circuit 3c, acquires image information to be complemented in the surrounded face based on the pixel information of the original image of the same face as the surrounded face by a pixel information calculation circuit 3d, and thus acquires image data smoothly continued to the original image data 2a in the extended section outside the original image data 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
