<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filler having high water resistance and acid resistance, also having high releasing function of ions such as a fluorine ion, and maintaining high aethetic property for a long period of time; and a composite material for dentistry containing the filler and superior in water resistance, acid resistance, ion-releasing property and aesthetic property. <P>SOLUTION: The filler contains at least one kind of metal oxide and at least one kind of water-soluble metal salt, and the metal oxide and the water-soluble metal salt form mutually independent phases, to form the filler; and a method of manufacturing the filler, of which the phase of the water-soluble metal salt is formed of crystals of the water-soluble metal salt having an average particle size of 0.001-0.3μm, comprises mixing the above-described metal oxide and/or the hydrolysate of a hydrolyzable organic metal compound and the water solution of the above-described water-soluble metal salt, and drying the resulting mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
