PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector capable of saving a space in a right-and-left direction. SOLUTION: A switch forbidding writing into a memory card 150 of the card connector 1, is structured of a first and a second contacts 90, 100, of which, the first contact 90 is firmly held at a left-front part of a housing 50, extends backward as well as includes a first contact part 93 at a back end part, and the second contact 100 is firmly held at a left-rear part of the housing, extends forward as well as includes a second contact part 105 at a front end part. Further, the first contact part 93 and the second contact part 105 are overlapped front and back, and held right and left with a predetermined gap. A cantilever support part of the first contact 90 includes a pressing part 92 capable of pressing by a side part of the memory card 150, and a tongue part 94 formed at a lower part of the cantilever support part and extending to an up-and-down direction entering into a concave part 66 of the housing 50.
