<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for realizing high-speed fixation on a recording medium in the image forming method using an aqueous ultraviolet light-curable ink, especially in the image forming method using an inkjet method, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method in which an image formed on the recording medium by delivering the aqueous ultraviolet light-curable ink comprising water, a photo-polymerization initiator and a polymerizable polymer by the inkjet method using a recording head is irradiated with ultraviolet light by an ultraviolet light irradiating means, the image forming method is characterized by including the process of blowing hot air obtained by cooling the ultraviolet light irradiating means to the image, and water in the aqueous ultraviolet light-curable ink forming the image is evaporated thereby to increase the apparent content of the photo-polymerization initiator and the polymerizable polymer in the aqueous ultraviolet light-curable ink, and then, the process of curing the image by irradiating the image with ultraviolet light by the ultraviolet light irradiating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
