<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the occurrence of a wasteful processing time, causing deteriorated analysis efficiency, in the conventional bitstream analysis method, when there are normal bitstream, picture start code and access unit delimiter immediately after a PES header. <P>SOLUTION: A bitstream analysis unit includes a means for confirming whether the start code exists immediately after a search start position before starting searching a start code prefix. If the start code exists, the type of the start code is decided, instead of searching the start code prefix. If the start code does not exist immediately after the search start position of the start code prefix, the wasteful processing time is omitted by searching the start code prefix, so as to improve the analysis efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
