The invention relates to new dispersions of particles of a surface-stabilised polymer in a non-aqueous medium, in which the polymer essentially comprises hydrophilic monomers. The invention also relates to a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition containing said dispersion in a cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable medium. The invention further relates to a method for the cosmetic treatment of keratinic materials using said composition.
