<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording method, capable of performing recording with a stable recording quantity without being affected by the inclination of an optical disk resulting from a difference in recording position and by a difference in recording sensitivity between optical disks. <P>SOLUTION: During data recording in an optical disk, the recording is stopped at a designated recording length, and an actually recorded signal is reproduced to confirm the recording quality. In an area where the recording quality is deteriorated, an optimum recording laser power in the area concerned is determined, and the recording is restarted.
