PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having a high mobility, a large current on/off ratio, and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer. The organic semiconductor layer contains at least one compound expressed by a general formula 1. In the formula, X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>16</SB>independently express a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, a branched or annular alkyl group, a straight chain, a branched or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
