<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal tracking assembly capable of supporting two or more protocols used in electronic article surveillance (EAS) labels. <P>SOLUTION: This universal tracking assembly constitutes a hybrid (that is, combined) type and a selectively operation stoppable EAS tag/label detectable by both of an AM (EAS) detector and a RF (EAS) detector (including RFID).
