PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report alarm information for each terminal to a network node device, when multiplexing data from a plurality of terminals and transmitting the data to a leased line connected to predetermined network. SOLUTION: An input conversion section 10 terminates data from each terminal for detecting its pulling out of synchronism or data error and generates its alarm bit. An alarm selector circuit 14 selects a corresponding alarm bit, in response of data selected by a data selector circuit 12. The selected corresponding data and the alarm bit are written into the same address as in a buffer memory 16, and are further read simultaneously. The alarm bit is converted into an alarm signal that can be identified in a network side, including the type of its terminal by an alarm conversion table 206. The alarm signal is inserted into the status byte of a frame, corresponding to each terminal of the transmission frame in a multi-frame configuration by a frame generating circuit 226 and is notified to the network.
