PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strength-reinforced broom having an improved sweeping property even for refuse impregnated with waste oil and stuck to floor faces of plants, mill scale (oxide films of steel material) produced from iron mills and heated to high temperatures, and litter hard to be swept together such as glass pieces, glass powder dust and the like produced from glass product manufacturing plants. SOLUTION: This strength-reinforced broom is formed by bundling a plurality of broom bristles, storing the plurality of broom bristle bundles in a cylindrical body formed of a swingable coil spring, and fixing them to the broom base body to reinforce strength. This strength-reinforced broom is so formed that the winding shape of the coil spring is a square or another polygon at least in its root part, and the respective broom bristle bundles are fixed to the broom base body so that the adjoining root parts of the broom bristle bundles abut on surfaces where the rectangles and the other polygons in the root part are adjoined and face each other.
