PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mammography screen being non-sensitive to a point defect or a scratch and having a top-coat causing screen structure noise to be lowered. SOLUTION: In a photostimulable storage phosphor screen or panel including a storage phosphor layer and an outermost top-coat layer on a support body, the top-coat layer has a roughness profile such that an average space Smis less than 150μm between peaks measured by means of a perthometer along profile peaks and troughs of a top-coat. Smis defined in terms of a lower crossing of an average line and an upper crossing of the continuing average line leading up to the next lower crossing over the periodical crossings of one roughness profile of the average line crossed by the profile peaks and troughs of the top-coat, and is calculated as an average distance of spaces between periodical crossings of the roughness profile.
