PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for an image display device that can properly suppress external light reflection and properly guides image light from an image display device to the outside so as to display sharp images. SOLUTION: The filter 10 for the image display device has a transparent base material 1, a netted metal layer and a blackened layer 3 provided on one side of the transparent base material 1, and a condenser lens 11 provided in an opening part 4 of the net-like metal layer 2 and blackened layer 3. The condenser lens 11 has a projection part 11a projecting from the blackened layer 3, and a blackened surface 11b is formed on a flank of the projection part 11a of the condenser lens 11.
