<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the disconnection of a speed detector such as a pulse encoder attached to a motor even if the motor is driven at around zero speed. <P>SOLUTION: A motor controller comprises a speed detecting means attached to a motor, and a disconnection detecting means which converts for coordinates a voltage and a current of the motor into two axes d and q and determines disconnection in the speed detecting means from the d and q components of the voltage or the current. The disconnection detecting means for the speed detecting means determines that one of disconnection conditions for the speed detecting means is satisfied if values of d and q components come into such a state as not to be generated in a normal control state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
