摘要 A lithium ion polymer battery charger using four terminal networks is provided to prolong a life of a battery by uniformly supplying a voltage and a current. A lithium ion polymer battery charger using four terminal networks includes an SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply)(10), a microcomputer unit(20), a four-terminal supply/detection unit(30), a charging unit(40), and a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) current amplifying unit(50). The SMPS receives and outputs an AC voltage supplied through an adapter to a DC voltage, and provides a power to a CPU. The microcomputer unit receives a power for a driving from the SMPS, reads a voltage of a mobile phone connection terminal, and performs detection and calculation using four terminal networks. The microcomputer unit controls a battery body of the mobile phone to be protected by providing a constant voltage and a constant current. The four-terminal supply/detection unit is coupled to a side of an input/output terminal of the microcomputer unit, and detects the correct voltage and current through four-terminal. The charging unit is operated based on the voltage and current detected from the four-terminal supply/detection unit, and charges a lithium ion polymer battery which is coupled to the connection terminal of the mobile phone. The PWM current amplifying unit amplifies a current through a PWM scheme and adjusts a duty cycle to reduce the heat generated from the charging unit in response to a PWM current amplifying control signal generated by the microcomputer unit.
