<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method and an apparatus with little load by heat of a recording medium, capable of discharging the gas generated in a local part of the recording medium to the outside of the recording medium. SOLUTION: Using a recording apparatus for recording a desired image by moving in the main scanning direction a recording medium comprising a toner layer of a transfer film as a heat mode sensitive material and an image receiving layer of a receiver film superimposed, fixed on a recording medium fixing member and exposing the recording medium according to image/character data while moving a plurality of spots arranged on the recording medium in the sub scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction, the image character data are exposed by a group of a predetermined number of successive pixels in the main scanning direction and the sub scanning direction in the first exposing operation executed initially, while moving the recording head from the vicinity of the origin in the sub scanning direction to the vicinity of the end point, and the pixels in the unexposed part other than the island pattern are exposed successively in the second and subsequent exposing operations.</p> |
