A scribing unit, a panel scribing apparatus for a flat panel display having the same, a scribing method and a substrate manufacturing method using the same are provided to obtain a relatively even fracture surface when dividing a panel into plural unit substrates and immediately perform a washing process without a grinding process after dividing the panel into plural panels. A scriber(420) is contacted with an object and generates a crack on the surface of the object. A supporter(440) supports the scriber. A vibrator(460) provides vibration to the scriber. The scriber includes a rotatably wheel where teeth are formed in its edge. The supporter includes a body(442) and a pivot pin(444). The pivot pin is coupled with the body, and rotatably supports the wheel by being inserted into a through hole formed in the wheel. |
