An English study method and an English study system using an interactive robot are provided to enable a user to quickly learn English conversations by receiving dialog files from a remote server, when a proper answer is not retrieved in a local memory. A microphone(4) receives voices of users. A voice recognition unit(6) analyzes the received voice data and converts the voice data to text data. A human sensor(8) is attached to a front portion of a robot and detects a presence of a user. A speaker(10) outputs question and answer data to outside. A voice output unit(12) processes the question and answer data and operates the speaker. A voice mixer(14) generates sentences by mixing English data with Korean data. Basic dialog data, data routine information, and an error correction routine are classified and stored in a data storage(16). A controller(18) outputs the prestored question data, compares the answer from a user with predetermined answers, and determines a level of the user. The controller outputs answer data for correcting an error in the answer data, generates a guiding sentence, and provides the guiding sentence to the user. |
