A cylinder head (10) of an internal combustion engine is fitted with rocker arms (20, 24). Camshafts (26, 28) are disposed so that the rocker arms (20, 24) and cams (21, 25) will be brought into contact with each other. The camshafts (26, 28) are rotatably supported by lower bearings (34), which supports the camshafts (26, 28) from below, and by upper bearings (32) integrated with a head cover (30). The head cover (30) is provided with visual observation windows (44, 46) that make it possible to see valve system parts through the head cover (30). A visual observation window covers (54, 56) for covering the visual observation windows (44, 46) are fixed to the head cover (30).
