PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device 10 used for an electrophotographic apparatus 25, the fixing device being small, capable of high speed processing and preventing paper wrinkles. SOLUTION: The fixing device 10 of the electrophotographic apparatus 25 includes: a heat roller 1 having an elastic layer 1b around a metal core 1a incorporating a heating element 5; a pressure belt 2 disposed in contact with the elastic layer 1b of the heat roller 1; and a pressure member 6 pressing the pressure belt 2 against the heat roller 1. The heat roller 1 has a uniform outside diameter from the middle to each end in the lengthwise direction. The lengthwise shape of the central portion of the pressing face of the pressing part of the pressing member 6 projects toward the heat roller 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
