A problem of the known mobile devices having motion sensors, where translational and/or rotational motion of the device is used to control aspects of the game, is that rotation of the device also rotates the image shown on the display. This is due to the fact that the image is bound and fitted to the physical display. Hence, when the device is rotated in relation to the eye line of a user, the image also rotates. For example, rotation of 360180 degrees results in the image having the wrong side up. This is avoided by detecting an amount of rotational movement of the mobile device in a rotation direction, when rotational movement takes place on a plane parallel to the display plane. Then the view to the game on the display is rotated in the opposite rotation direction and by the same amount. Therefore the view is maintained stationary to the eye line of the user. |
