<p>A radiation therapy device suitable for the treatment of tumours in the brain. The device comprises a circular rotatable support 20, on which is provided mount 26 and 28 extending transversely from the support out of the plane of the circle, and a radiation source, such as a linear accelerator 32 attached to the mount via a pivot 30. The pivot has an axis which passes through the axis of rotation of the support and the radiation source is aligned and collimated so as to produce a beam which passes through the coincidence of the rotation axis and the pivot axis.</p> |
