A navigation device for displaying map mash-up and a method thereof are provided to previously set whether a user displays map mash-up service contents and map mash-up advertisement based on a velocity of a vehicle or not. A navigation device(100) for displaying map mash-up includes a DB(Data Base), an indicator, and a detailed data indicator. The DB stores map mash-up data including position data. The indicator receives GPS(Global Positioning System) position data from a GPS satellite(900), checks map mash-up data in the DB corresponding to the GPS position data, and shows the map mash-up data on a display device. The detailed data indicator downloads wirelessly and shows detailed data of the map mash-up data on the display device in response to request of a driver.
