PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial composition that has not only a strong antimicrobial activity against various bacteria to cause intraoral diseases such as dental caries, periodontal disease etc., but also a wide antimicrobial activity against various bacteria having serious adverse effects on organisms and an intraoral sanitary product comprising the same. SOLUTION: The antibacterial composition comprises a compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl group; and R<SP>2</SP>is an alkyl group, a phenyl group which may contain a substituent group or the like) as an active ingredient.
