A finite field multiplier apparatus, a method thereof and a recording medium for reducing the number of gates necessary to multiply the finite body are provided to improve the efficiency of storage contraction and reduce the number of gates. A table preparation part(110) selects a multiplying method which the minimum number of gates while progressing to a degree n from a lower degree. The table preparation part generates the partitioned table by storing the minimum number of gates and a multiplex method. The table application part(120) comprises a multiplier about the degree n by using the minimum number of gates stored in the partition table. A multiplication performing unit(130) performs the multiplication of two elements of the finite field.
