A mobile communication terminal is provided to input Korean vowels conveniently and input diphthongs more conveniently and faster by improving the arrangement of consonant keys and vowel keys. If a user presses one or more keys arranged on a keypad(11) of a mobile communication terminal device, a character generation unit(12) generates a signal corresponding to a single key or combination of keys, and a display unit(13) displays an alphabet or alphabets corresponding to the generated signal. The keypad includes a menu key or a send key besides number keys. The display unit is composed of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) or an LED(Light-Emitting Diode). The keypad further includes 9 consonant keys having the first consonant to the ninth consonant of Korean alphabets, 2 vowel keys having the ninth vowel key and the tenth vowel key, and a special character key.
