PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form an image of a high image quality, by stably flying even an ink or the like of a high viscosity by moving the ink by a relatively low voltage. SOLUTION: While a high voltage is impressed to between a counter electrode 3 and a plurality of electrodes for flight 7 arranged in the form of teeth of a comb in a slit 6 for holding the ink flown of an ink storage part 4, a low voltage is impressed to between a EW drive electrode 9 and the ink 12 in the ink storage part 4, whereby the ink of the slit 6 is moved into an electric field generated by the electrodes for flight 7 because of an electro-wetting phenomenon. An ink droplet 12a is flown to a recording medium 17 disposed between an ink droplet ejecting means 2 and the counter electrode 3. The ink droplet 12a of the high viscosity is stably flown by the low voltage, and a printing speed is enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
