The decoder (1) has a receiving unit (3) receiving data flow to broadcast services emitted by a satellite (5). A data storage (8) comprises a table e.g. running status table (FRST), including a field indicating an active or inactive state of services entirely equal to or greater than 1, where the services form each declination of a main service is associated with a national channel. Scanning and detecting units (10) scan the data flow and detect the active or inactive state of the services, and the table is periodically updated from data included in the data flow.
