A semiconductor memory device is provided to suppress unnecessary power consumption by adjusting the number of blocks to be driven according to the number of data pins. A semiconductor memory device includes upper and lower data mappers(520,540) and a sequence controller(100). The upper and lower data mappers apply plural parallel-data to corresponding global lines according to plural sequence-control signal. The sequence controller receives first and second start address-information signals and a sequential-interleave signal and applies plural sequence-control signals to the upper or lower data mapper, such that the sequence-control signals are selectively applied on the upper or lower data mapper according to a data pin-setting signal and the address-information signal. The sequence controller includes a decoder(200), upper and lower control signal generators(424,442), and a selector(300).
