摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column structure for an electric power steering device capable of reducing the steering load of a driver while providing for reduction of a production cost.SOLUTION: The steering column structure for an electric power steering device comprises: an input shaft 11a rotatably supported by an input side bearing 17a; an output shaft 11b which is the rotation shaft of a worm wheel 15b composing a reduction gear 15 housed in a housing 13 and is rotatably supported by an output side bearing 17b; a torsion bar 11c mutually connecting the input and output shafts 11a and 11b; and a torque sensor 16 detecting the torsional amount of the torsion bar 11c. The output side bearing 17b is provided at an output side N2 only to the worm wheel 15b and besides, the steering column has a clearance Δr in a radial direction between the output shaft 11b in the input side N1 to the worm wheel 15b and the housing 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
