PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor attachment/detachment mechanism which is capable of attaching a monitor on a monitor supporting stay through one-touch operation, and considerably easily detaching the monitor while being unnecessary for any screw or tool or any operation. SOLUTION: In an attaching plate 4 fixed to any one of a monitor and a monitor supporting stay and a locking plate 5 fixed to the other thereof, an upper locking hole 8 of the attaching plate is engaged with a locking claw 10 of the locking plate, the attaching plate is supported and turned by the locking plate. When the attaching plate overlaps the locking plate, the position of the locking member 11 is matched with the position of a lower locking hole 9 of the attaching plate, the locking member is advanced by the energy (the repulsive force) of a spring 12 and enters the lower locking hole to lock the attaching plate to the locking plate.
