The method involves computing a source image rotated from a set of source images by a rotation transformation of a given rotational angle, and displaying the rotating source image on a screen. Two horizontal partial areas lying on each other are fixed in the rotating source image. Partial areas of each source image are aligned for producing a three-dimensional appeared target image that is displayed on the screen. A rotation of the source images is triggered around a given axis. A rotational angle is computed from adjustments associated to start and stop signals. An independent claim is also included for a video endoscope comprising a light conductor.
