PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle mechanism wherein fluid pressure is not an essential factor, and a transfer device for transferring a long and continuous article using the nozzle mechanism. SOLUTION: The nozzle mechanism is constituted of a buffer housing having a longitudinal direction equipped with a fluid inflow port disposed on its bottom face and having a buffer function to a flow velocity of fluid flowing in from the fluid inflow port, and a flow-distribution housing with its longitudinal direction disposed in the longitudinal direction of the buffer housing, which flow-distribution housing is equipped with a discharge panel disposed on its upper face and a pair of flow-distribution panels distributing the fluid in such a manner that the amount of the fluid discharged from the discharge panel into the areas outside the central area of the discharge panel is greater relative to the amount of the fluid discharged into the above central area disposed in the longitudinal direction of the discharge panel, which fluid has flowed in from the buffer housing through the bottom face of the flow distribution housing.
